dead speakers?

Well my 99 CSVT seems to have been plagued by the speakers going out in it. It was in the shop twice for it and Ford was never able to recreate the problem. Well I drove the car home and the left side speakers stopped working. So I took the door panel off both left side doors was able to get the front one working but it cuts out if you hit a bump. I tried the head unit from a couple different cars that the wiring harness was the same. Getting the same dead left side. Tried my HU in the other cars as well and all 4 speakers worked. Anyone had this problem before?

I have heard that the reason that some speakers have gone in and out like you are talking about... i talked to a friend of mine that works for a car stereo store and he says that it could be the stock amp that is located behind the glove box.... you might go to a stereo store and ask about that

Problem solved I took the door panels apart and tried the speaker swapping since they are all 5x7's and it was the speaker itself. So now to find a nice set of 5x7's
