So whadaya think? New HEMI > Lightning?

I've been being harassed by Dodge owners about how great the new HEMI will be. I've been being told that it's going wipe the floor with my truck and so on and so forth.

I don't see how since it's down on power compared to the blown 5.4L and the truck is going weigh like 1500 pounds more.

They don't answer too much after showing them where my Lightning is and then asking them where they have thier new HEMI. Nobody seems to have an answer to that.

    1. it will wiegh more

    3. aftermarket industry has to catch up

total - wieght + less HP mean "SLOWER TRUCK"

Oh yeah and it will be a farking PIG on gas probably in the 8 or 9 MPG's believe me I owned a 318 and the gas mileage on that was 10 - 11 ... they suck period...

The only chance I see the HEMI of having is in winter conditions.
While my 02L is tucked away in it's nice warm garage. Cant wait till warm weather and the guy's with there NOPARS.
    BRING THEM ON.

there is one that will supposedly have the viper motor - and MSRP in the $50-60K range?
so there won't be too many of them around...

our trucks cost half as much - we could put less than $5-10 of mods in and and wup on anything out there.

im not a dodge fan anyway i love my 02 lightning not because its a fast truck but the quailty of the svt is far better than dodge or gm will ever be i have owned a gmc a 2001 with a 5.3 more problems than i have ever seen with engine noise and drive line clunking couldnt stand it so we bought a svt lightning tryed out the crewcab wasnt to happy with ride although a nice truck needs more power when they come out with a bigger or better engine in the lightning i will trade for one of them but right now we have the best truck out there and i checked around before i bought so far no problems just put it up for the winter thanks for listening

Ram it or cram it .A Dodge is a Dodge is a Dodge.I've owned 3 or four in my horse trading days. They drink a lot of gas and float a lot of valves from my experience.Which is worse the Generals Junk or a Nokar?
