    Cool Driving School

Hey the driving school is just a little over a week away.

This is a great time for you to be able to hone those driving skills and get a taste of what track driving is all about.

Cost is $30 for the day.

You will need a SA 95 or higher helmet (we will have some we can loan out).

Location Oklahoma County Sherifs Driving Range http://www.oklahomacounty.org/sherif...g_Division.htm

Start time will be arround 8am with a short tech session. Driving will start at 9am.

Bring your lunch and plenty of water to drink.

Registration forms can be found at www.svtoaok.com

    See you there

    Dell

PS If you are planning on attending please let me know.

I am planning to attend, weather and gas prices permitting. With 93 octane at $2/gal I might just start running race gas in my truck.

gas has become retarded....the news showed some interesting facts that show we are getting gouged. went from 1.28 to 1.53 in 11 months and 1.53 to 1.88 in the last month.....that is just wrong.

Don't forget the price of race gas has gone up also.

Hope to see those who can make it.

This is a rain or shine event, althought it looks like the weather should be nice for this.

BTW little tid bit about gas prices. When you figure in inflation we are still paying less than we were in 1980.

That does not help alot when it is over $2 for premium.

Well in 1980 I was driving so I know what they are talking about.

It still does not help when I have to fill up.

Atleast we are not like some people who do not need Premium but they are using it anyway...

no, this is more of defensive driving school....except you don't sit in a room 8 hours and watch crash videos and get beratement from officers who don't want to be there.

Now who would have needed to take that. There was no car to car contact and only a few off track or argricultural driving.

What's really crazy about the gas prices is that I can look back in my ledger and find where I paid 65 cents a gallon for gas in the last 5 years. Fuel prices are controlled by one thing and one thing only: greed. A filling station might fill their tanks once a week. That once a week is the only time fuel prices will drop. However, they will increase 3 or 4 times during the week even though the gas in the ground is already bought and paid for at last weeks prices. Prices will keep going up until the public as a whole decides they don't need gas bad enough to pay the price for it. We waste more gas for pleasure than we use for necessity and that is reflected in the price.

Now I need to know who this is. Since I did not drive in an argricultural way I can only assume that you did?

This is Mike "Official Water Fetcher & Cone Shagger" Heddleston.

I didn't hit the dirt but several folks did as you know. I did take out a cone or 2 on the autocross though. Still had a great time.
