What kind of gas mileage are you getting? The sticker is saying 21 city and 25 highway. The magazines are saying 25 city and 34 highway. Which one is correct?![]()

I am guessing at least 30mpg on the freeway at 65mph.
I just drove 240 miles one way last weekend and that took about 1/2 of the tank. I also hit 110 going uphill and cruised at 80 most of the way. When I gassed up at about 1/16 tank left it came out to 25mpg.
I recently drove from Houston to Austin and back. 300 mile round trip. I got 28.5 mpg driving 75 mph. I get 22-23 in town.

Yeah, that's about what I get. The average is about 280-300 miles on a full tank for city driving.Originally posted by Bigred

I've never run my tank past 1/4. I calculated my mileage today and I came out with 26.9 MPG.
Of course, I was also putting my car through the paces up in the hill country today. Man this car can corner!

Ive not really drove my svt enough to calculate what my mpg is but I also have a 4 door focus and average about 330 miles per tank until my low fuel light comes on I only have 1100 miles on my sonic blue svt
I eat rice for dinner
I get 26-28 in mixed driving. The only time I got less than 25 was during a two day open track event at Watkins Glen this summer. On long distance highway trips the car get 31-33MPG with a cruising speed of 75-85mph and the occasional sprint to 120.

ive played around with this a lot lately...when i run around 65-70 on the highway...i get around 28 mpg...and i know that this is obvious, but when i decide to move (80-90 mph) i dont think i get more than 20 mpg...this this is a gass guzzler...it runs fat dumb and happy all day long and i love it...who cares about gas mileage when you can roast someone
Mine just clicked 1,500 miles....first tank 24, most recent fill up I got 29, which was better than I expected. My trip to work every day is 55 minutes and mostly non-stop. I'm planning a 3 hr. road trip this weekend and expect to get 30 or so. I used to get 37 with a slow Focus with the 110 hp with 5 speed.

Compared to my Lightning, this thing is solar powered!
Trip from Savannah GA to St. Louis MO with Wife, 5 y/o kid and lots of stuff, got 32 mpg average on the highway stints cruising around 78 mph the entire way. My other vehicle is a 97 5.4 ltr 4x4 Expedition. The Focus was not as comfortable on the trip, I would have killed for an arm rest, but the fuel mileage was double that of my truck. Next time, I will drive the truck. The Focus is great as a commuter car, for which I bought it, but not a trip car. Don't get me wrong, it was comfortable from all other aspects, but the lack of an armrest is my big gripe.
On my 75 mile round trip to and from work everyday (mostly highway, a few lights, and traffic), I average 27, unless I have my foot in the throttle.
Have a nice day.
My car still has less than 5,000 miles but I check my mileage everytime I fill up. Around town I'm getting about 23- 27 and on the highway I've gotten up to 35mpg.
