It's dead here because our cars are so wonderful and all of us Contour owners already know that that we don't need to talk about it further and they NEVER have any problems that need to be discussed either.

So lets just see how many Contour owners are actually on this board anyway. Everyone make their presence known.

wanna trade? I've an 02 SVTF!

Just kidding! Nice to know that the contours were better reliablity wise (oh so not the case overall!) than the Focus!

You just can't beat the SVTF with the Contour!

Just had to come and stir up some stew!

LOL! It wears the SVT badge so it's all right in my books!

My local dealer had an 00 model, grey with sun roof, and not sure what other options but they wanted $16,000 US for it! Kind thought that was a little high!? You think!

Focus v. Contour. There is a lot that could be said about that however, come back and speak to me when you get to the mileage that I am at, then we'll talk.

Hey I'll be the first to tell you that my car has been anything but totally reliable... 35 shop days in the 1st 12 months of owning it.... Looks like most of the "bugs" are worked out now....

However, lets go anytime! Ever been to anchorage? If you ever do, please look me up! I'd love to make a run with a contour SVT! I think it'd e a blast! (ah, never mind, just read eastern canada!)

I had the SVT Conti (great car with great problems). As much as I enjoyed my SVTC I can't begin to tell how much better the SVTF feel and drives. Sorry guys!! I have to side with imajsdaddy on this one. On behalf of the SVTC I must disclose that I bought mine used and sadly abused. Although there are many inherent advantages to the SVTF that have nothing to do with the abuse. I honestly can say that the Focus is a better car. And it better be, its newer.

I like the Focus too. If I was buying a new car I would consider it but I still like my contour.

I'd say the SVTF is a very good alternative/replacement to the SVTC. I just wish the contour had gotten the aftermarket support right off the bat that the focus had. I think we'd probably be in a better place than on the back shelf if that had been the case. In either case, both cars are great and though I like the focus a little better for feel straight out of the box, I still prefer the looks and power of the contour plus as soon as I have 400+ ponies on tap I won't have to even worry about seeing any but very few of the foci staying with me. I think Turbo Tom lurks these boards somewhere doesn't he?!

I took the shortblock to the machine shop yesterday to get the new pistons fitted and everything rebalanced. I should have it back by the end of the week and if all turns out well I'll have the shortblock rebuilt this weekend! I want to have this thing running by March.

Are you coming to Spring Zing in Detroit in May?
