I want to say I've seen the AEM for a little cheaper, but I don't think shipping was free.

nevermind, what I saw was an Ice-Man. A CAI is a CAI really, unless you just want the AEM for stickers and brand name recognition.

as far as the "talk" you've been hearing, dunno where you heard it, but it would be advisable to stick around and form your own opinion as opposed to someone elses. there are plenty of active users here who have CAIs and other mods.

I purchased my AEM CAI from Focus X. Shipping was prompt, CAI was in great condition without any scratches or blemishes and the installation directions were clearly written I've had my CAI for 4-5 months now and it still works/looks/sounds great; unless you can find it cheaper soemwhere else I'd defenitely go with Focus X

I agree, that is the only store that I found that cheap, but they don't provide a phone number, and the address is a po box!!! It is also 50 dollars cheaper that a lot of performace stores, just weas unsure from the statements above. Then you got ebay with people with bad feedback....Trying to get info and nobody is replying that is why I said that statement about "what everybody istalking about, cause I have posted other things for example that orange focus in the FF mag. I ask where he had got those taillights and I didn't even get a response??? I am just impatient!

The web site claims that the blue was limited availability not the red!

blue was late availability for 2002 and limited availability for 2003. They never make a lot of red cars because a lot of people shy away from red thinking they'll get a ticket more often. At least that's my theory.

The ticket theory is true I read an article in a Police something or other magazine back in the summer about car color and % ticketed.
It went something like this in order of pulled over

    Red
    Silver
    Blue
    Black
    White
and so on with the less popular colors...I can't remember the % but RED was about 10% more than any other color. I am sure if there were more yellow cars theyd get it too!

About the CAI...I measured the diameter of the MAF inlet and found the corresponding K&N Conical filter that would bolt right up to it and got it for about $35 plus .5 hours removing the stock airbox. It does not rub against anything and looks almost stock too. I really doubt there is that much HP difference from all that piping to run the filter underneath. Just more of a headache in my opinion, I live in Ohio where it can be sunny one minute and raining or snowing the next so I don't have the time to swap it out.
