    Jackson Racing Supercharger????

I am seriously debating picking one of these up. I love the idea of making her even faster and I love the supercharger whine down. My only concern is for 2700 it doesn't seem to add a whole lot of power. I saw a guy with a black one at the ford 100 and he had the supercharger and was proud of a 183 at wheel horsepower. I know these things are underated at 170 to add 13 horses for 2700 that seems a bit outragues. I have never dynoed mine so maybe that is a huge jump. I know the 170 is flywheel but is this kit really worth the money???? I am debating adding a mild 50 shot of nos for those quatermile runs. That shouldn't tear up the engine to much. Or maybe I will go propane.

A stock SVTF with a JS will never make 240 at the wheels. 200 is more like it. Stock, our cars dyno around 145-150 at the wheels.

The JS is a good, reliable system, if you want modest power gains. Unfortunately, there is no cheap way to make lots of HP.

a 50 horse jump thats a good chunk of power I am just wondering if it comes down to being worth the money? Would that number go up with a cold air?

SO that makes it about 3200 for the innercooler and the s/c. What kinda power am I adding for the money? I am not looking for a huge horsepower machine. But putting about 200 to 250 to the wheels would give me a shot and taking some cobras in the 1/4 i hope.

I dont know about taking cobra with 250whp. Maybe if you got lucky and the other guy couldnt drive. I have my JRSC sitting in the box right now. I am going to get it installed at Ford in 2 weeks from yesterday. (friday) I think this kit is worth the money because it wont hurt the life of your car, at only 5-6 pounds of boost. You are picking up 50 + hp at the wheels...thats a lot. Im not sure how this s/c reacts with mods. I hope it responds well to my wide open exhaust (off road pipe, and 2.5 Borla exhaust). Right now I can tell you I am at 165, give or take a couple, hp at the wheels. As soon as I get this baby slapped on I will put her on a dyno, and post my numbers.

Pretty sure the Vortech is still in the works...but very close, they are advertising already. I may be wrong, but I think they are still working on it. I got JRSC for 2747 from summit, they did a price match with jegs for me). If you can pick up the Vortech for that price I would be all over it man. I was just on a budget, or else I would have an intercooler too. Also, dont forget the difference of roots, and centrifugal blowers. JRSC=Roots.....Vortech=centrifugal.......I would best describe the vortech as a turbo with a pulley....so I believe you will experience some lag....but the top end would be a lot higher than the JRSC...also you would want to think of the longevity of your car, just depends on what you are looking to get out of your car, and for how long.

I want a supercharger (JRSC) the intercooler off road pipe and a cold air. I think i could do some serius damage at the 1/4 in that.

    Cool

I just talked to Brian at Vortech Friday(9-26). The complete SVTF system will be another month at least. It's the ECU tuning they are still working on. The tuner kit is available now, if you want to go stand alone ECU, like a Pectel. Price will be the same as the ZX3 kit, in the $4200 neighborhood. Should be good for ~100 hp increase, according to Brian.

I'm still waiting to see this one before I decide.

Id like to wait as well. I know vortech is working on one and I have heard talk at a couple shows that procharger may make one or does already not sure. Maybe the pricing will be more competive with a couple other systems on the market.
