The SCMC/MGW/Atlanta SVTOA Drag Day will be happening on November 9th at Carolina Dragway in Jackson, SC. This has been a great event in the past and is shaping up to be even better this time. There will be plenty of Cobra's, GT's, plenty of LS1's and LT1's, and maybe a Lightning or two. Best of all, it looks like we will have some nice cool weather.

The track is a VERY nice flat track that HOOKS and has plenty of slow down area! Also has plenty of paved staging areas, concessions, stands for watching etc. etc. The owners have REALLY been putting some money into the track in the last year and it's really showing.

The previous events have been a blast with plenty of heads-up, grudge matches, and bracket racing. There will be 14+ sec cars and 9 sec cars so there will be something for everyone.

If all goes as planned, half of the proceeds will go to the LaFontaine Relief Fund. Robert LaFontaine is a GaFBA member who was injured in a serious automobile accident through no fault of his own. Robert does not have health insurance and his injuries are very serious, requiring a long hospitalization and many weeks of therapy and recuperation.
