    Question Valve Covers

Has anyone tried removing the valve covers on their 2001 Cobra, and if so how difficult was it.

Here are the steps from the Ford Electronic Service Manual: Sounds like you are going to need to re-charge the air after you are done.

    Valve Cover —RH
    Removal

    Remove the RH ignition coils
    Disconnect the fuel line.
    Remove the throttle body.
Remove the A/C condenser to evaporator line.
Remove the A/C manifold and tube assembly.
Disconnect the evaporative emissions return tube.
    Remove the RH valve cover

    Valve Cover —LH
    Removal

Remove the hydro boost brake booster.
Disconnect the clutch cable at the clutch pedal and position out of the way.
    Remove the LH ignition coils
Remove the bolt and position the oil level indicator tube aside.
    Position the PCV valve aside.
    Remove the LH valve cover

    Valve Covers

Ford did mine. It was a pain even for them. It was Warranty work for a leak. I've been wanting to put Polished Covers on mine, but hesitate to because 0f so much work.
