    suspension noise question

Hey everyone- I was just curios if anyone else out there has noticed a rear suspension type clunk that only seems to happen backing out of a driveway and turning at the same time. Also happens intermittently when turning into a driveway only at slow speeds. Maybe I'm crazy but sounds like a bushing or some component thats loose Any feedback would be great, thanks....I torqued all bolts last weekend in the rear suspension area when I had it up on my rack for the first oil change-nothing loose as far as I could find.

This happened to me a few time when the car was new when turning into a driveway. I haven't experienced it for a while now.

    Noise?

It was my exhaust pipe hitting underneath when I made a turn, hill, etc. The rest is quiet...

The SSMs from Sbosserman say the clunck is normal and just the nature of the beast (paraphased.) Mine also makes a popping sound from the rear and the Ford service engineer said it was the suspension bushings, that they are aware of the problem but its not having any adverse effects.

    suspension noise

I believe that SSM is referring to a "tip in" clunk in the driveline during re-accelleration, kind of what we used to call gear lash noise. Either way, it's not a crisis by any means. Thanks to all for responding, now drive

Mine has the popping noise and it sounds like it comes from the rear whenever going onto an uneven surface. What could it be?
