    FR-500 Replica Steering Wheel

Hope it is acceptable to post this here even though it applies to all '94-'04 Mustangs...

Just wanted to give kudos to a very nice gentleman named Tino Santoni at Santoni Steering Wheels in Ft. Lauderdale, FL(http://www.customwheelwraps.com/) for a very nice job creating a replica FR-500 steering wheel at a reasonable cost.

The original FR-500 (M-3601-B) wheel comes up on eBay and various other sources occasionally, but a nice one typicially has gone for $500+. If you can live without your steering wheel for a couple weeks (or if you have a spare), Tino can do a nice replica in just about any color combination you want for just over $300. I had mine done with the black perforated sides (similar to the original), but with the Dark Charcoal leather on the top and bottom for a bit of contrast. I'll admit that it's a hair thinner than the original FR-500 wheel, but still has a nice soft feel to it.

It's too bad FRPP discontinued it, but here is a great way to have a close replica done by someone with many years of experience.

Finally, mounted up and ready for some driving:

Nice. Expensive for just a rewrapping, but still cheaper than an original FR500.

    Looks fantastic, Joe!

I don't know what shops are charging for this in other parts of the country, but here in the Phoenix area, they want right around $500, so I consider that a smokin' deal.
