Focus ST Factory Delivery?
I got an interesting email the other day.
Ford is considering an idea for a Factory Delivery program. What would happen is that you pick up your new Focus ST from either the plant or at SVT Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan. There could be opportunities to take it for a spin on Ford's proving grounds or other perks.
- Do you think this is something you'd appreciate and participate in?
- What would be a fair price for this kind of experience?

Closer to the release of the ST I was going to ask Marcie if it would be possible to tour the factory when my car is being built (not knowing if that's even possible with build schedules). I am planning on using one of the "direct order" sites on the internet instead of having to go through typical dealership BS. If I could order and pick up direct from Ford, that would be even better!
As for the other "perks" you mention, I'd need some more details... as for price for that sort of experience ?? No idea on that one! I likely won't be able to spend much more than the cost of the car (through a loan, of course!) The idea seems very cool, however. My last two SVT's were leftovers, both being toward the end or after production was finished. It would definitely be awesome to get in on the front end of production with this new car (hoping the new ST doesn't share the teething problems of the first SVT Contour's and Focus). I can't wait to hear more!
