    Recalls

Anyone heard of a recall of some kind for spark plugs on the 07 GT 500 or anything remotely like that? Someone (whose opinion I value) told me about another buddy of his that has an 07 like mine and he asked me if I had the work done on mine and of course I knew nothing about it and can find no info online. I'll call Ford tomorrow but in the meantime let me know if you've heard anything about this. Thanks

I didn't see anything on a search about the GT 500. To save you a trip to the Ford dealer this link will tell you if there is one for yours. http://www.ford.com/owner-services/c...ll-information

I haven't heard of any recalls, on Fords plugs, I know I have heard of people with the 3-valve 4.6 modular motor changing their plugs incorrectly causing the plug to get damaged because they require a special tool.

There are 2 styles of plugs the 2 piece in the 3 valve from 05 to mid 07 then they switched the head design and went to a 1 piece plug. the older style if left in to long could build up carbon and break the plug causing the electrode portion to fall into the cylinder thus requiring a special tool to extract it. they also had a special tool to re gap the plug but they only needed that if you were doing a power adder like Nitrous or SC. they also made different heat ranges for the 05-07 but not for the new style plug.
