    Hungry?

How much oil do the 4v's eat? Did an oil change in November (was going to change tonite due to time. only ran 3000 miles) with the required 6 quarts and I believe I just blew the motor and found no oil on the dip stick. No smoke, no oil low pressure lights, it just stopped going. When I try to restart, it acts as though the battery is dead...all of the lights go off and nothing happens! Anybody have any ideas? If dead, anyone know where I can get a decently priced 4.6 to 5.0 stroker kit!!!?

So what have you checked? Any oil in the water? What do the plugs look like? Have you've done a compression test? How old is the battery? They do go dead. Where you on it at the time? You need to supply more info!!

    I put 6.5 qts. in my '03 , ... doesn't burn a drop.

The 2000 Cobra R holds a 5.4L in our body style.

If you discover the worst, you might consider the GT500 complete assembly 5.4 from Ford Racing (M-6007-C54/TVS).

Till then let us keep optimistic thoughts.

No oil in coolant, no oil in pan, plugs not checked yet. No compression check yet and batt is 6 months old with no previous problems. I was decelerating and it stalled upon stoppage of motion, refired and died. Refired and held throttle down to about 1000 rpm, acted fine and then died at next light again while I limped it home. Clutch pedal appeared to go to floor and was slugginh on accleration but was fine at speed. 1/4 mile from home I heard a pop and a little smoke but nothing really extreme and no smoke after that and then car died. Rattling when on gas and quiet when off before it went down. Smoke was coming from dip stick tube upon inspection but nowhere else. No fluid leaks as well...

is your oil filter on all the way tight? Happened to a friend of mine.

what does your oil pressure gauge tell you?

I would just pull the plugs out look at them and do a commpression test while you have all the plugs out.

I talked to a Mustang gear head that is actually a GM tech and he informed me that if a valve guide/seat is off or bad, it could be throwing oil right through the exhaust without burning it and giving the tell tell smoke. He said you can tell by the black deposits that form on the tailpipes/bumper area and that he has to add a qt. every 600 miles in his built 306. Is this true? Could this be where my 6 qt'.s went?

I really don't know, ... but do you really need two different threads for the same questions?
