    Shelby GT500 Power Steering Noise

When sittting at idle, it feels like the power steering on y 2007 GT500 is low on fluid. I took it to the dealer twice for this. They say they flushed the system, but some hi performance cars exhibit this problem. It only occurs when idling. Driving appears to be okay. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

take it back to the dealer and ask for a new pump, its not like the days of the old 5.0l and 5.8 P/S pumps that use to always make nosie

I just took it back for a transmission recall. They replaced the flywheel, pressure plate, clutch and a few other parts. I asked them to look into the powersteering again.

The recall to imporve shifting from 1st to 2nd. No more hop when i take off.

I missed that recall....can you give some more detail...did you get a letter from FORD or did you simply complain until they did the changeout???? I have an '07 and wondering if I missed something....

    Thanks!!!

I'll look for the paperwork. A friend of mine is a Service Manager at a local dealer. I was in for an oil change and he told me about it. I'll try to have something for you tomorrow.

Hmm I need to ask my friend at Ford about this one. Yeah, the trans in this thing is seriously pretty bad. the GT500 supplement does mention that the noise is "normal" due toa high performance tranny. But seriosuly, how much chatter should there be in second gear anyway? lol Just my 2cents on the issue.

Here's the link to the TSB from Ford on the clutch drag/transmission issue.....

    http://www.saacforum.com/index.php?a....0;attach=2045

if you can't just click on the link then try to paste the link in your browser...hopefully it works....

I was just curious if teajay got his repair under a true recall letter or did his dealer simply execute the repair against the TSB after teajay complained about the problem .

I haven't heard of any recalls from Ford on this issue (that would require Ford to have a heart ) but it does seem that some dealers will execute the TSB repair simply if asked while other dealers are making you jump through hoops to prove there is a problem with the tranny/clutch.

ok... just looked at the paper work. There wasnt a recall, it says clutch shutters and hard to shift into 3rd gear. I took it in for an oil change and was talking to one of the service guys.
