    Norcal SVTOA 3nd Annual Toy/ Food Drive & Car Show-Dec. 2nd.

Thanks to everyone who took time out of their busy schedule to perform an unselfish act and taking time out of their busy schedule to contribute to the success of our 3rd Annual Toy & Food Drive.. Especially in the fridged weather we had today. From our 1st Toy & Food drive we have ALWAYS encouraged ALL makes and models to attend and contribute regardless of country of origin. My thought was people in need could care less about what type of cars we drove as long as we could help them.

We started this event 3 years ago after Norcal SVTOA was started only for 3 weeks.. it rained on us BUT it didn't dampen our spirits or desire. We had about 20 cars show up and we collected 100 cans of food and 132 toys which I (Apex Motorsports) matched bring the total donation to 200 units of food and 264 toys which were given to EHC Lifebuilders (http://www.ehclifebuilders.org/) of San Jose.
Here is an article about the Toy & Food Drive

Year two (2006) was even better as we had more time to promote the event and it showed.. 70+ cars ranging from Hyundai's, Corvettes, Camaros, Lightnings, and of course... Mustangs We collected over 1100 Toys & can/ boxes of food. In 2006 we donated the toys to Toys for Tots and the food to EHC Lifebuilders

This year was even better! With almost 100 vehicles attending and we collected 448 cans of food and 240 toys. As in the past Apex will match the amount collected bringing the total amount donated to 1376 Toys & boxes/ cans of food collected. We could not have been happier with the results! This year we donated all the food to EHC Lifebuilders, 40 toys to San Carlos Youth Center, 100 toys to EHC Lifebuilders, and the rest of the toys to Toys for Tots. You guys have made ALOT of people very happy! GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

I want to offer a special thanks to Rob of Norcal1320.com.. .they have been a very good supporter of this event since the 1st Toy Drive. Rob drives the sweet 73 800HP Camaro... (9 Sec qtr Mile).

Special thanks also goes to all the members of Norcal SVTOA for making this a success and especially Justin for helping setup his audio system. Thanks for the snow man... my kids loved it

Also thanks to Efren's friend for being the Santa Claus
My daughter was scared initially but kept on talking about it at home that she saw Santa and the BIG SNOW man that Justin brought out!

I would also like to acknowledge and thank, BALA (Lightnings), Norcal Vette's, Norcal SAAC, Stang Up, and SCCOA (Thunderbirds) for helping us make our 3rd Annual Toy & Food Drive the BEST EVER!
