I agree with you
I have put the following mods on my Mineral grey 03 Cobra : Paul's High Performance K&N filter air cone intake, Paul's High Performance Blower front nosepiece w/pulley attached ( 14 lbs. boost total ), Spin Tech X-pipe w/ cats ( two high flow jobs ) and that's it. I have stock exhaust manifolds, stock mufflers/ tail pipes, stock shifter and No chip. The car has 515 flywheel hp and is even more fun to drive than it was before. Grand total of cost of modifications including install $1650.00. It does'nt get much better than that !

****ty Service
I agree with all you are saying, but I think they get a little carried away with the warranty work. When my car was stock they hassled me everytime I brought the vehicle in. These guys are not idiots, they know what people do to these cars and thats why they have pictures of cars peeling out in their brocheres. But they sure act stupid when they see a mod. Unless you know a service manager at a dealership who is cool, good luck to all. We pay 35,000 dollars for the car but Ford sure as hell doesnt give much back.

Yeah, I'm not a gambling man....
but my warranty is screwed because as soon as I go in for any kind of work, they'll see my mods. On just about every car I've ever owned, the damn thing goes out of warranty before anything needs fixing anyway. So far my car has been excellent. No motor problems, no clutch problems, no driveshaft vibe, etc. I think the Ford Gods have been kind to me and I got a gem of a motor.
