What is with code 153

:knock: I have had this problem with code 153 . There seems to be a problem with 98 Contours and this code sticking. It explains as oxygen sensor on bank 2 being sluggish. It also suggested that gas quality may be an issue I have done so much work on my engine so far and the check engine is still menacing me. So for anyone that knows my pain or has a solution to my on going battle any suggestions would be appreciated.

You probably wont get much response here but try the contour.org forums. I am sure someone there can help you. Personally I have never had that code on my car so I can't help you.

If it's just a funky code that keeps popping and not actually a bad O2 sensor, then install an MIL eliminator on that O2 sensor. Basically it dummies the computer into thinking there is no problem with that sensor.
