Where is a good place to get a dynotest? I called Livernois Motorsports and they want $125 plus $85 for A/F ratio. I want to see my A/F ratio too. $210 is more than I'm willing to pay though.

I got a DynoTest without A/F at DetroitSpeedWorks a few years ago. It was $75.

Any other places around that you can recommend?

Can't help with the dyno as I too am looking, but as for the A/F ratio and other parameters I am using a on board monitor called Car Chip EX. You can find it at Autozone. Here is the orginal thread that I posted about it at Christmas. I now have it on the Cobra and I just love it. It cost about $140.00 I ust it in my other cars from time to time. I hope that this helps.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is the Car Chip EX. My Niece gave this to my dad for Christmas and I would like to know if any one else has this and what do you think?
It says that it will: Continuously logs performance under the hood and behind the wheel. Review and clear diagnostic troble codes yourself. Trace intermittent problems. View summary and detial reports for each trip. Monitor driver performance for training. Set thresholds for speed, acceleration, and breaking and see when they are exceeded. It will record your 0-45, 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. you can also choose to record your rpm, throttle position, engine load, coolant temp, intake manifold pressure, air flow rate, intake air temp, timing advance, fuel pressure, fuel system status, oxygen sensor output voltage and many more but only 4 at a time. It will do much more. You install the program on your computer and set up the chip to do what you want it to do. It plugs into the obd port. To read what the chip has recorded you have to connect it to your computer. My dad had me install it for him it took only 5 minutes to do it.
It looks good but I will wait to see how it works on his van before I spend any money on one.

Sounds cool. I have a diablo predator and it can read a lot of the parameters from ODBII. I have not found a good price on a dynotest yet. I will end up going to Milan and using the 1/4 mile times to figure out the horsepower and torque. I want to go anyway to see how much lower my E.T. is with my new 4.30 gears!! :)

If anyone knows somewhere I can get a dynotest at a good price, post here please!

Hi fellow Michiganders,
Last spring my husband and I took our 03 Cobra to Livernois Motorsports for our dyno test. The local SVT SEMI hosted the event and we only spent around $50 to do the dyno. I am looking at our printout and don't see an A/F ratio but I don't know what that is. Anyway, I am not sure if this is a yearly thing that SEMI does but it was a great day to hang out with other SVT owners and the guys at Livernois Motorsports were excellent. They ran the first test on our car stock then took the time to change the air filter I bought before running the second test. It was neat the see the difference in horsepower before and after.

Hello there!

That sounds like a great deal. I'm not sure if SEMI chapter of SVTOA is going to do that this year. I checked the website for scheduled events and didn't see a dynotest session anywhere. If you hear of one let me know!

The air/fuel ratio is a line usually at the bottom of the chart that goes between 11 and 14. It tells you how lean or rich the combustion is. I'd like to see mine and it would be worth 50+85 but not $200 total!

Imtylersdad, is there any events going on in the Armada area? Here in the Marine City area we only have the Big Boy cruise every tuesday night and it gets boreing with the same cars every week so I don't go anymore. As far as I can tell I have the only 2003 Cobra in this area.
