A year ago I got my '97 Cobra lowered using the Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs. This caused my front tires to be excesively worn on the inside of the tires and I was told that the only way to fix this would be to get some Caster/Camber plates. So I got the plates, had them installed and took the car to get aligned... every place that I took it to said that they moved the plates as far as they could but couldn't perform a proper alignment. They said that the only way to do this would be to slot out the holes in the plates to give them more room to move, but they were unsure of how this would affect the integrity of the plate. Right now I have the original plates on, adjusted to their fullest extent and my tires are still wearing terribly on the inside, I've gotten less than 10,000 miles on these tires and I already need to replace them. I need some help.

Does anyone know of a good Caster/Camber plate to use?
Has anyone experienced this problem while lowering their cobra?

Most importantly, does anyone know of a good place in the Kansas City area to get good work done on their SVT's?

Anyone's advice is greatly appreciated.

Dunno about the KC related stuff but I can tell you that you aren't the only one who has had that problem. I assume it's the camber that's out of spec?

One remedy is to enlarge the bolt holes in the stut tower itself and shift the whole plate, stock or otherwise, to get it into range. I know folks who have done this with the stock plates, I'm not sure about aftermarket units. An alternative is to try the Maximum Motorsports C/C plates. They use a plate that can be flipped over and this extends the overall range that the camber can be adjusted in. They might give you enough room to get back into spec.
