I need some input on this problem please.

I have a 99 L that has no dash lights for about 3 months now all of a sudden when I put my truck in reverse when its cold the radio shuts of ever other gear it dosen't happen there was minor water in the taillights so now I am drying them and thoughts on that problem or the dash lights.

Dash lights - Did you try replacing them? How about the fuse...has it gone?

The radio issue sounds more like a wiring issue. Maybe a wire somewhere is thin in insulation causing a short circuit or a bad ground.

As for water in the tail lights, bad seal probably. Either dry them out thoroughly and seal it back up, or get a new light.

Do you have the factory radio or is it aftermarket? Is it possible the dash dimmer switch is bad? You should post in the Lightning forums also.

When I took delivery of my '04 Cobra the instrument lights did not work. When the tech was removing the instrument cluster the lights came on. He never found a loose connection but in the few miles I've put on since they have worked. Check for a grd problem.
