We are planning on going to play Whirly Ball on January 18, 2003 at 1:00. It is located near Yorkdale Mall. What is Whirly Ball you ask? Well it is a combination of Hockey, Lacrosse & Basketball. Forgot to mention, you are in bumper cars while playing. What better way to take away those winter blues especially for all of you who store your SVT during the winter months.

We are also trying to meet for brunch at Kelsey's prior to attending at Whirly Ball.

The cost for Whirly Ball will be $20.00 per person. Space is limited so register early.

If you are interested in attending, drop me a line at svtoa-toronto@rogers.com.

Hope to see you all out there.

Yeh it does sound like fun. I thought that it was something a little different than the norm. Just drop me a line as soon as you know. Depending on how many people we end up with will depend on how much time we will need to book.

Here is an update on the Whirly Ball event.

If you are planning on attending we do require payment in advance in order to confirm your spot, (by January 5, 2003). This is to ensure that we have enough funds to cover the cost for the rental of the court.

We also have a registraton form to be completed by all participants (it is that lovely legal stuff we have to worry about, sorry).

Based on the number of people that have already responded we have 10 people. The booking is currently for a one hour period which will accomodate 10 people. We will extend the booking for every 5 new people we get (teams are in groups of 5), but not until we receive payment. Sorry for this but we need to ensure that we don't end up paying for something that we are not going to use.

The more people we get the more fun we will have because we can have a tournament set up. This looks like it will be a lot of fun.

For those of you who have responded already, I will send you an email with the necessary form.

Okay I will add her to the list then too. Whohoo. We are well on our way to 20 people. It would be a lot more fun if we can actually have a tournament.

Yes the October thing. I am waiting for Joanne to get back to me. There are somethings she has to work out first. I definately will contact you as soon as I know.

The sooner the better, but if possible before January 5, 2003. So are you planning on coming then? if so, drop me an email (svtoa-toronto@rogers.com) so I can add you to the email list and send you the registration form. We will hold a spot for you but payment will be required before it is confirmed.

Thanks, :bna
