Finally a place here for us MM owners :tmb: Thanks Greg :allhail:
I can't possibly be the only SVTOA member with one? I know the latest member of the Toronto chapter has one. Have not met him yet, but hopefully he'll show up at the next monthly meeting.

Well glad to know that I am not crazy. I saw first MM today and was not sure it was for real. Is it like a police car platform? I know of some guys that drive the old 94-96 Impalas SS on Auto-cross and at least one of them plans to do a HPDE this year with a Mustang Cobra group. I wonder how the MM would do? So is there an '05 or are there only the '03 and '04?

Hi jstevens.
Good to see another MM owner here. Checked out your car at cardomain. Looks really good.

There is someone in Toronto that seems pretty serious at Auto-X. He's done some mods to help the car out. Perhaps he'll visit here and let ya know how he's done. I know the first thing I'd need is a different set of tires. The Marauder comes with m+s tires.

Actually beerkat,
The Merc Marauder was only made for 03 & 04 with a total sell of just over 11,000 units.
Its based on the Crown Vic/Grand Marquis platform but has true dual exhaust with a DOHC 4.6. It features leather and air suspension as well.
Surf over to www.mercurymarauder.net if you ever get a chance.

Nope - I'm here! Member No. 111 at MM.Net, and Member No. 549915 here. It seems the SVTOA folks get all the good track days, so I joined to gain some experience with all the other hotshoes!
My 2003 Mercury Marauder can be viewed here! (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=111)

Defyant - I don't think we've ever had a Marauder @ Sebring. (I have seen a rented Crown Vic but that's another story)
I'll look forward to watching your ride in the event.
I wasn't aware the Marauder was only produced for 2 years. Too bad for folks who want one but great for the folks who own one.

Saw one at the 2003 Detroit Show. Never saw one at a dealer, and then they were gone. Just bought a LS and guy at Detroit show last week says production on them stops in March/early April. Both nice, kinda practical cars with ommmph. :frn: Shame.

Just thought I'd open up this thread again, in case there are any other Marauder owners on site. I have an 03 and ran it at Mosport a couple weeks ago. Handled extremely well for such a large car. My passenger clocked a lap at 1:55, running about 7-8/10's. Could probably dip close to 1:50 in a hurry now that I've made a couple simple changes.
