I have an '01, and I am finally growing used to the '03 front and rear fasicia enough to consider upgrading.............. I drove an '03 proto-type about 1-1/2 years ago during a SVT drive comparision do-hickie. The '03 felt like it was was riding on "Jello" when the steering wheel was see-sawed.... the car was a proto type, so I am very forgiving of the their progess at that time. I can tell from the specs that they got the steering fixed.

Who has driven and compared an '01 vs. an '03?

Please give me your feed-back!

I don't know about the 01 but I had a 99 not much differance. My 03 drives and responds better than any mustang I have ever owned. Rachrse

Night and Day! I traded my 01 for a 03, and the 03 is way better!

I had an 01 and an 03 at the same time. Both are awesome cars. The 01 really only won a couple of categories - much better gas mileage, much better exhaust sound. I went from a coupe to a vert, so handling is hard to judge, but the 03 tracks better, steers better, but feels much heavier in moderate curves.

I like both, but am happy I sold the 01 and kept the 03 :)

I have had a 98 Cobra (With Kenne Bell blower), as well as a 2001, and now an 2003. The 01 was a problem from the start. Transmission/clutch problems, more wheel hop, ect. The 03 handles better, feels more comfortable, looks better (to me), and has WAY more power. Even my blown 98 was no match for this car. I also have a 650HP Cobra motor in our 1990 LX, and I know from experience how well these motors respond to not only bolt-ons, but Cams, Heads, Massive injectors, exhaust, and other goodies. Ford did this one right. All my other Cobras have detonated as well, and the 03 does not (even with my 14lbs boost!) Just my .02 cents.
