:) Did you guys see the transportation section yesterday in the Trib? Some guy just bought an 04 SVT Cobra and he was surprised how bad it was in the snow. He wants discounted winter tires from Ford. Really an interesting write up. The reply was great too!

So Jim, any new members this month? Maybe we could have a session on Power Sliding in the SVT in the snow! :hbomb:

I read the question and had a good laugh at the reply. I do not believe he will be owing the car for too long. He probably will have to go back to front wheel drive rice burner!

you mean.....

I can't drive my Mach 1 in the snow?

you mean --- I might slide off the road and have an interesting off road experience..??

woah..... I'd better go get some snow tires...

:thud:

actually --
does anyone have any snow or all season tires they need to sell?

I really do need something for the Mach - for winter...
yes - snow!

I have 2003 Cobra wheels (17 x 9) --

so far, the S03's have been ok -

Hi Windy

I bought a set of Bridgestone Blizzak tires for the Lightning, and they work great. They are rated the best winter snow tires. With a little weight in the truck, I would have swore I have 4 wheel drive.

Hi all, Happy Holidays. :)

I didn't see the article but it sounds interesting. I wouldnt try to drive the cobra in the snow but we plan to drive the SVT Focus all year. We put all weather tires in the front, but they are still low profile. If you really want to drive in the snow you should change to all weather tires and smaller wheels; 15 or 16. And it would be best to change all 4 tires and wheels. The low profile tires are terrible for snow. Ive driven Mustangs and Cameros ( Z28 during the Mustang II era... ) all winter before and although they dont work great they will get you around, with the proper tires. ;)

A little weight in the trunk ( :) funny that has a whole new meaning these days ) will also help. Good luck.
