Hey Guys,

My car has about 70,000 miles on her and it is time for a tune I think... I have slight hesitation which I think could be caused by the sparkplugs or wires... At this mileage, What should I be doing for a tune up????? Wires, plugs etc????

I would replace the wires, the plugs and maybe the coil packs.

I would also change the air filter and make sure everything is clean. The PCV valves should be changed also.

I personally used Accell Racing wires this last time with Copper plugs. I am getting ready to change the coil packs, mine has 114,000 miles on it, but it was build in Sept 95 so the coil packs are now 9 years old.

PS Make sure you put anti seize on the plugs.

Also, go to Ford and buy another Idle Air Control solenoid when you get a chance. These things tend to gum up and fail and then the car will not idle. You can attempt to clean them but the fix is only temporary. Taylor makes good 8mm wires as well.

www.performancedistributors.com has the best wires and coil packs, as far as i'm concerned. im a firm believer of cleaning out the iac, i bet you'll see quite an improvement in your idle, and throttle response.
