Has anyone broke traction in third gear?

I was just driving with it wide open in a straight line and I swear I shifted to third at redline and it broke traction and the traction control activated, everything is stock except my AEM cold air intake.

I have done that a couple times going from first to second, but not second to third. If I am pushing the car that hard, I do not like to speed so I just cruise it into third.
My old car would smoke the tire(no posi) all through first, put the C6 into second and continue smoking the tire halfway through second. One time I floored it from a stop in drive and pegged the 120 speedo and the tire was screaming bloody murder spinning that fast.

I have a few times in third,and ive got it one time in fourth, it was awesome.

Done it a few times with the conti's

Doing it regulary with the winter tires on dry roads :D
