So, I finally get my "updated" clutch installed...

So, far I drove it about 100 miles. Pull it out of the garage and what do I see? :barfy: Either light gear oil or hydrolic fluid all over the garage floor. (I got a cold and can't smell it to tell the difference.) I think it's syn gear oil just due to the volume and the fact the clutch master cyl. is still full... The stuff is all over my underside. GRRR

WTF - all I want is a job well done and done right the first time - do I have to do it myself? I thought we got SVT certified techs to work on our cars...

This one gets 'em all... :upst: :hbomb: just wait for Monday's phone call... deep breath, rant off.

Someone got some sense and figured out that it was the axel seals leaking.

STILL in the shop. Waiting...

Hope the rest of you have a better experience with your clutch replacement!

Today's update...

Axel seals installed - slight leak still present. Now engine oil... :knock:

Was told it was the rear main seal. Told them to replace the clutch disc if it has been soaked in oil.

I don't get it - In April I replaced my first clutch AND tranny in my Jeep. I am not a mechanic by trade, I have no lift and a modest set of tools. With a little help I had no problems, leaks or issues. Finding good doner tranny at a good price was my only issue.

Is there some way to confirm the tech doing the work is "SVT certified" ?

Should I stop by and give a few pointers? WTF !!!
