Well, IRP was a smashing success !!! There were more people
than I have ever seen at an event. I don't know the exact
numbers, but it seemed at least 50 percent were there for the
first time, to learn what their cars and trucks were capable of.
Believe me, you WILL be back again, cause there is no vaccine
for this illness !!!!
To Howard, Mark, and Jeff ... and all the VOLUNTEERS, my hats
off to you for making the weekend very enjoyable. I had the most
fun I've had at an event. Kenny Brown and crew, what you bring to
these chapter and national events is stunning ... Thanks for all the
advice!
Rick, who graciously gave me the Artist's Proof that he won in the
raffle, is the epitome of the type of people that come to these events.
(THANKS, BUDDY ... The wife didn't wanna take the Monet down, but
the Lightning has replaced it in the living room place of honor !!)
There is one more event this year at Buttonwillow, and if you can get
there anyway, please take the chance to learn what these events are all
about.
See y'all ( <=== say it like this Jeff!!! ) in the spring !!!
Cliff
PS.... I also wanna thank all the people that offered to mail me the
copy of the SVT Enthusiast with me on the front. You guys are the
greatest!!!

A big ditto here. Many thanks to all the volunteers, the crew at Kenny Brown and Kenny himself for all the support and information, Mark, and Howard. Also, thanks to Jeff and his stable of instructors, especially Gary Godula who took a lot of extra time with me and my wife to share with us his experience and advice. Also, thanks Cliff for the use of your impact wrench and to the guy with the bullhorn announcing the run group staging (I apologize for not getting your name) who let me borrow his rental car to get wheel studs and brake parts on Sunday.
I will definitely be keeping an eye open for this event next year.

Cliff is absolutely correct. SVTOA and it's members are a class act. It is hard to find a performance car organization similar to this one. Kudos out to all that make this Special Vehicle event possible.
Cliff, the artist's proof was just a small price to pay for what you encouraged me to do. Moving from group 3 to group 4 was a pretty big step for me considering my car is pretty much stock. Your encouragement, even after the "big wreck" , helped me understand and respect the sport even more. For that I am a better driver. (I still think you were being nice to me by not catching me and passing !! :) )
I always gage the success of an event like this by a couple of things. Did I meet my goals set, and how many new "Enthusiasts" did I meet and call friend by the end od the session ?
I met and exceeded both overwhelmingly !!
Lastly, I cannot say enough about Audrey Zavodsky. She helped fine tune what Cliff put into motion by showing me exactly what to do. The biggest eye opener was when she was driving my car during the instructor session. She did things with my car that I didn't think was possible. For it, I am a better driver. I hope to see her at future events!
I am looking forward to the next event with a new set of goals and hoping to add to the list of "Enthusiasts" to call friend.

All,
Everything stated above and more. I had a great time. Met a lot of good people that share a common interest in our awesome vehicles. Learned a bunch from my instructor, Van Jackson. Started out slow and built momentum over the sessions and loved evey minute of it. Got to ride in a new Mustang GT as well as the New GT. I had a long ride home to rehash the weekend and the further I drove the bigger the smile on my face became. Thanks to Jeff, Mark, and all of the Indiana group for making it a great weekend. I look forward to seeing you all again in the spring! Thanks,
J

I had a blast - and I will definitely be attending any event that comes my way next year. Can't wait! I am still smiling from ear to ear.
Hats off to everyone involved in running this event - it was picture perfect! Thanks to all the instructors and volunteers and to SVTOA. The people there were also what make the event what it is. Bring together car nuts from all across the country (and from other countries in my case) and you are sure to have a great time. I met so many great people in such a short time!
Great to meet you Jay and Cliff this past weekend! I'll be back for sure next year.
