Lady Luck paid a visit to me over the weekend. I received a call from the director of the car shows for all NMRA events, and he asked if I wanted some free tires. I said, "Sure ... what's the catch?" Turns out that Nitto Tires (the chief sponsor of NMRA's last event of the year in Bowling Green, KY) needed a car to show off their tires at their booth. Since the director knows that I normally go to Bowling Green, he thought I might be up for it.
So, today I should be receiving two 275/35/18 NT555s for the front and two 305/35/18 NT555Rs for the back. Of course, this meant that I had to pick up a set of new wheels. So, I ordered a set of Boyd Coddington Smoothie II's -- 18x8 for the front and 18x10 for the back. I'll be selling my current wheels and tires, which should make up for a lot of the $$ I spent on my new wheels.
And, to top it off, the ole' 99 will be getting a ton of exposure at the Nitto booth as the booth is one of the bigger ones there. Thanks NMRA and Nitto :tmb:
