Yeah, Its a really fun time. We had one in may and that was the first I have been too and had a blast on the drive. Its great to put Screen names to cars and faces!

it was told to me that the person was engaged in some stupid driving (not street racing but equally stupid/dangerous passing) and ran off a curve and down an enbankment. Car is totalled.

thanks to the super strong B pillars in the Focus, the driver escaped without any major injury.

That can be fixed. A few parts and some paint, and she'll be as good as... ;)
Hate to see that. I have mixed feelings, though. I feel sorry for the guy for trashing his car, but then again, don't drive like a lunatic! I can't stand lunatics! :upst:

it has to be tough for any organization that tries to be against street racing/stupid driving have an event spoiled over exactly that. at least he did damage only to his car and no one else.

He was not passing anybody, he just came around a corner too fast and the ass end of his car slid out and he over corrected himself. It could have happen to anybody.
The driver is just like any of us and is not a fan of street racing.
Yes it sucks about his car, but for sombody to walk away from that!!! That is badass, Wasnt his time to go!!
So lets not talk crap on anybody and just learn from what happens.

I'm simply repeating what was told to me by people who were there. If that isn't correct, then those who told me can correct the misstatement, but so far one other person above have said that is true.

Yikes! What about the driver?
that is him in the picture walking away from his car! but what 1mortoy said is right he went into a corner to fast and ended up on his top. its nothing that any of us haven't done before. well except for the flipping of the car thing. blox is a great guy and made a very nice post about what happened and telling everyone he was sorry for what happened.
