Heres the story. Went to the track 8th mile running high 7s ,There was a 03 cobra being towed when I pulled in. I first reaction was well Im glad its not me! Well I raced about 4 times and decided to go one last time before they closed. Off the line I went Shifting into second I herd a loud POP!!! And the rpm's just redlined. Oh:mad: I was. The car had only 2000k miles on it. Took a look and the left rear axle looked like a pencile tip. Had it towed to ford and had a few phone calls. Took them almost a week for parts and I was pissed. Why should I haft to wait a dam week for a part that is not back ordered. Has this happened to anyone else? I have put a complete Kenny Brown Kit on, Sub frame connectors, jacking railes, matrix braces, Irs rear carrier I am hopeing the new rear carrier will elminate the wheel hopping and prevent me from snaping another rear axel. Ford shouled of stuck with the ford 9in rear axel instead of the independent rear supension. Anyone have any Ideas????

I have had the same problem. After about 2000 miles I took my car to the track and left on a trailer. I never even got to run it. I was not to happy. After that I went through a terrible time dealing with Ford. They made it seem like I was the only person this had happened to, I'm kinda glad its not just me. I really wish it was non of us. I agree, Changing from the 9" was the worst think Ford has done.
