Hey All, just recieved my Carbon Fiber Trim kit from Benevento after waiting 5 weeks and now want to install it, the guys at Napa said that I should clean the dash with soap and water before treating it with my prep solvent, however I forgot to ask him something! What type of soap should I be using??? Just regular dish soap or should I go to something stronger like Mr. Clean and heavier chemicals, it's just to remove water soluable stuff the the prep solvent won't remove!

Any ideas???

dish soap is strong enough to take off everything you dont want without hurting anything. After you do that and get it polished really well, use something milder like meguiars deep crystal shine was.

Just use some good old regular dish soap. It will just take off the oil and wax just like you would do to your paint before putting on a nice 3 step wax. You could even just use some alcohol.

Just make sure its clean and rub the surface with rubbing alcohol before putting it on.
