Someone backed into my car while it was parked. I left the car with my dealership while getting in touch with insurance, etc etc etc.

Anyways, my question is, we are entitled to a free loaner car for warranty service, but what about collision repair?

Thanks!

nope it would have to be charged to the person that hit you.

yeah that is strictly an insurance thing.

The person who hit you has insurance correct? His/her insurance company will have to pay for a rental car while your car is being fixed!

I get a free loaner even *out* of warranty. But only for one day. All you do is ask.

Davan - Normally a free loaner/rental is provided for mechanical repairs (btw - my SVT documentation does not state warranty only). However - according to my dealeship, a loaner is not provided for collision damage.

One of the reasons is the body shop, which is listed as the dealer's body shop, is not really affiliated with the dealership except in name only.
