411 code

I keep getting and resetting this code. So far it has been benign but I'd like confirmation from my cobra colleagues.

Any advice about troubleshotting this code.

Code P0411 has to do with the air pump system. I have excerpts from the service manual which may help you diagnose and solve the problem.

That code is the secondary air injection system a.k.a smog pump. It is the pump that adds air to the post combustion exhaust to thin the exhaust. I had the same thing on my 98'. It costs around $800 to fix at the dealership. Some performance shops can even remove the whole thing as long as your not worried about passing state emissions or anything. If you remove it the engine light will remain on or you can disable it so you don't have to look at it, which I don't reccomend. You can also just leave it alone and check your codes on a regular basis to see if anything else pops up.
