I am trying to start a local chapter for my area and wanted to get a feel for the members in here if any of you from the area would want to join.
I will also be looking for a an assistant director, activities director and a treasurer. If any one would like to volenteer for these rolls please make a post about it.
Thanks, Andrew

I am sorry that I took so long to answer your post. I am in Ozark, Mo. That is just south of Springfield, Mo.

I would go talk to Andy Tate at Republic Ford. He sold me my first SVT and they sell TONS of Lightnings. I think he would be your best bet at starting a chapter there.
You might also want to look into NWA for SVT owners. I know there are quite a few in the Rogers, Bentonville, Fayetteville area.

Just so you know, Missouri is not in the Central Region, but in the Great Plains. Roger Walker is the regional director for your area.
Hope this helps.

I've never heard of a dealer NOT wanting to sponsor a chapter. That is just weird!
Have you tried other nearby dealers?

Actually this is a common problem. It took Colorado about 3 years to get one. You should also be talking with Bill Kniegge bkniegge@affinitydev.com. He is the one who works with the dealerships and helping new chapters get off the ground. I will be willing to help in any way I can, I have family who lives outside of Springfield. Let me know if you need me to come and talk with the dealership.

They each have their positions. Terri is the President of the club, Bill is in charge of chapter relations. Nothing against Terri, I have not heard of her helping with dealer problems, but I know personally that Bill has.
Whomever helps you, getting it started is what you want.
