I have owned a bone stock 98 Cobra coupe for the past year. Recently installed Steeda offset front control arm bushings. These bushings are made by Global West. They relocate the front control arm 1/4" forward. At the same time I installed MM aluminum rack bushings. These bushings relocate the rack back 1/4". Combined, its a total of 1/2" rack movement in an attempt to increase ackerman. After getting the car aligned to -1 camber, +6 caster and 1/8" total toe in, the car drives and handles turns much better and is more predictable than ever. However, when pushed past 80mph in a straight line, the car is very unstable. The steering is very sensative at speed on the highway. Has anyone tryed this setup or have any input on what may be wrong? The rear suspension is MM LCA, stock uppers, and an MM panhard bar, and MM caster/camber plates. I have H+R race springs (red) at all four corners w/ tokico Illuminas. Before the front end work the car handled ok and was perfectly stable, even over 140.
