I don\'t know exactly but it seems to me the new year Lightnings come out in late spring and early summer.

Have a dealer do a vehicle search. There has to be an L available somewhere in Texas.

I traded my 99 in on an 01 that was a dealer trade and it had 186 miles on it. No ill effects except the holes for the front plate were already drilled. :mad:

They will take a order on them anytime but, I think they start shipping in April for trucks. :cool:

I just place a factory order and they told me that Ford won't be accepting orders until Nov 4th. Production should start soon after that. They told me hopefully I could get it by the end of the year.

It would be a nice Christmas present to myself.. heehe

According to the Sept/Oct edition of SVT enthusiast, under SVT update, production of the 2003 Lightning begins in November. It will feature new wheels, new colors, an in-dash CD changer and new front and rear springs to increase the payload capacity to 1400 pounds. The engineers have also made a few modifications to the steering rack valving and increased the torsion bar stiffness by 45-percent.

Blue Oval News reports that Job 1 for 03 L's has been pushed back to 12/2/02. This was confirmed by an anxious L-owner-to-be in California whose dealer just informed him his L would be late.
