I'd like to improve the road handling of an `03 Cobra coupe. Thus far, I've added subframe connectors, a differential brace. and a front chassis brace; all from Kenny Brown. Within the next month, I'm installing firmer Ford Racing Products springs, a Steeda X2 Balljoint Kit, Hotchkis Delta camber & caster plates, and a Competiton Engineering Bump Steer Adjuster Kit. Members in my road racing club are split, however, over the actual improvements from front and rear strut tower braces for the `03 Cobra, but seem to think that the single best improvements come from a 6-point roll cage. I've driven several of them, but without driving the cars beforehand, it's had to tell if handling was significantly improved or if the betters harnesses (and seats) were just holding me in the better. Skid pad (200 ft.) results are mixed. Maximum Motorsports has a good selection of roll cages, but installation looks challening (at least for the 6-point setup and someone without welding skills). Does anyone have experience they could share on systematically stiffening an `03 Cobra? Thanks in advance for your advice.
