Your not the only Gen 1 out there!! IMO alot of the people that come here have the newer models, they like the technology and reliability for performance driving. Just my thoughts. I know alot of the Gen 1's are used for drag racing and not open track etc. I use mine for daily driving and a tow vehicle. The 90 SC/GT is for drags and hopefully next summer open track. The Mystic is for show at the present time. Hope you enjoy your Gen 1, for whatever you use it for, and oh yes, be careful doing it!!

Hey krackr, nice to see another high miler on the roads :D Where in MD do you live? I help run LOOM, the Lightning Owners of Maryland club. We're meeting up tomorrow for a cookout in Eldersburg if you're interested, since Cecil is closed because of snow.

I have had my '93 black Lighting for about 1.5 years. 88,000miles
It goes well with my '93 Teal Cobra that I have had for 2.5 years. 12,000miles
Truck is stock, for now.
The Cobra has just been modified, I think I have caught the bug!!!:tmb:
Now the only thing holding me back is the amount of cash I have.:(

svtx2, good to meet you :) I'm actually about to move up to that area in March. Was looking around Edgewood, but decided on Bel Air. Maybe I'll run across you sometime. You're so close to Cecil, taken both of them out for runs yet?

I took them both to my first svt meet back on november 9, 2002.
First time I had them on the track. I had the only '93's there.
One guy had a '95 lighting.
The cobra ran a 14.7 at 95.9 and the lighting ran 15.4 at 87.7.
My friend ran the the best time in the truck and I ran the best in the car.
Let me know when you move up here and maybe we can get together.

I just got here.

I have a white 95 with 75xxx? miles and lots of mods. Last year it did 12.494@108.51.
Now I've solved my traction problems and changed the converter and will add an e-fan soon. I expect to do high 11's. Visually I 've left it as stock as possible.

Have all you lightning people been to nloc.net? It's the ultimate lightning website.

Say, are any of you people in Canada?

Hello...you are definately not the only one(s) with Gen 1 Lightnings...I am a retired college English professor living in Wimberley, Texas...I got my vermillion red one in October...it is stock (except for replacing the wheels and tires with new ones from Tire Rack since the original ones were on the vehicle when I got it)...and has only 3850 miles on it. I am a member of the lightningrodder club...and posted pics of the Red Rascal on that site this week...just joined svtoa and will put some pics on this site soon.
I bought this truck from a fellow in Pennsylvania after seeing it on the internet...and it is as he represented it to be...looks almost like it was just driven off the showroom floor of a Ford dealer in '93.
Look forward to communicating with all the svota members on this site in future.

I have a 1994 Black Lightning with 108K on it, stock, with only a Borla exhaust and Gaylord hard cover on the back. It went out to Miller Motorsport for the SVTOA event in '07 and played on the track during Parade Laps with the sport cars. We just got back from Texas where we attended a car show in the Houston area averaging 13-16 mpg fighting headwinds from Denver the whole time. We'll be back to Myrtle Beach without the truck, but still hoping to have a great time. Maybe next year the event will be in the midwest, and we'll be able to hook up.
