Funny... That's exactly why I'd like to move up North
That's beautiful :tmb:
Won't see that in Dallas, TX anytime soon :frn:
Of course, I wouldn't get to drive my Cobra as much and that would suck.
The grass is always greener right :D

Ya know, snow tires are a wonderful thing!
I know, I know, road salt and stuff. I try to hose the salt off at least once a week.

It is sitting outside the forward garage because that garage holds my wife's gardening supplies. The garage behind has a 68 Stang and my 2001 Cobra. I need more garage space (so I can buy those three "2000 Cobra R"s that circulate on Ebay).

Neil have you used your Lightning for any rallies. i am considering the high roller 100 as a starter for the Lightning. My wife is comming as navigator so my targer speed is 100 MPH. I have run the 150 class at the last 4 SSCC events so the speed doesn't concern me, just the handling of the lighting at speed

I have not used the Lightning in any OpenRoadRaces. The HighRoller 100 is going to be a different kind of event.
In 2001, I attended a SVTOA On-Track at Indianapolis Raceway Park. A 2001 Lightning had no problems passing me in my 2001 Cobra. I took my 2002 Lightning to Nelson Ledges and it performed pretty good while making a turn after a 110 mph peak. I think a Lightning would have not problems in Grand Touring. For faster classes, talk to Stan Martin; he has a 1999 Lightning that has been driven faster (with modifications).

Getting a chill just looking at that stuff - We rarely (every 10 years or so) get any accumulation here. Grew up in the north, but have to admit that I don't miss the snow.
Like the photos though - I'll have to keep a copy and see if it still works in the middle of the summer heat.
Happy Holidays!
Dave
