Does anyone know for sure if there will be an area at Carlisle just for SVT vehicles?
I took my Lightning last year, but ended up way at the top of a hill, with two other Lightnings. I want to go again, but not if it will be the same as last year - I want to be parked with all of the SVTOA members!

The SVTOA Lancaster (PA) Chapter will be there enmass, and, as last year, will be parked together. I was not pre-registered last year but got to park with the Chapter. Other than identifying yourself as being with a group, I guess they park you by vehicle type anywhere they want.
I am sure you'd be welcome to hang out with us.

We had that problem last year with one of our members in a Lightning. For some reason, they wouldn't let him come down and park with us.
HOWEVER - this year, we made arrangements to be adjacent to the SVT trailer. I think we'll make it clear that the trucks belong with the club and we'll all park together. We did have one Lightning with us last year and they did not get run out by Carlisle.
What Carlisle trys to do is park vehicles by type for judging purposes. If you want to be judged with the appropriate class, you will need to park with the class. If you don't care, stay with the SVTOA group.
See you there!

Oh, yeah! BIG PLANS!!!
YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS ONE!!!
Friday morning is the Mustang Monthly Pony Trail from CJ Pony Parts. The route has not been released yet from Mustang Monthly but it's always a lot of fun.
Friday night is drag racing at South Mountain. An 1/8 mile track nearby to the Carlisle fairgrounds it's a chance to get out and play!
Saturday after the day at Carlisle, we'll leave @ 5:00 to cruise down route 74 to the National Street Rod Association's East Nats in York, PA. Picture 10,000 street rods, muscle cars, and collector cars cruising all over town. This is always a MUST SEE!!!
Finally, on Sunday you can come back to Carlisle for their giveaway drawing. Some lucky Sunday attendee will drive home a 1964 1/2 289 Mustang coupe.
OR, if you are tired of the show thing, you could make the trek up the turnpike about 60 miles and then off the pike another 15 or so to Maple Grove Racewhere where the National Mustang Racers Association will be holding their finals.
LOADS OF MOTORSPORTS FUN!!! Everyone is invited, so lets have a great weekend.

Oh, I didn't even mention the ongoing local stuff. There are several sprint car tracks within an hour of Carlisle. Come in early for Thursday night at Susquehanna Speedway www.sspracing.net for 410 sprints, enduro cars, and PA legends cars.
Or Friday (if you don't want the drags at the Mountain) you can go to Williams Grove Speedway www.williamsgrove.com for 358 & 410 sprints, modifieds, late models, & enduros!
Then on Saturday, if you don't want to do the cruise, oh who am I kidding, of course you want to do the cruise! Silver Spring Speedway, www.silverspringspeedway.com has Super Sportsman, late models, & street stocks.
Surely you enthusiasts see something to attract you to Carlisle. Not that the company of fellow SVTOA enthusiasts isn't already enough!!!
See you there!
