The Southeast Michigan Chapter of SVTOA is proud to once again sponsor an open track weekend at Gingerman Raceway on 7/24-7/25. There is also a track sponsored twilight session available for $50 which lasts from 5-dusk (around 9:00).
This event has been very well attended for the last three years and this year is looking to sell out even quicker.
For additional information and regsitration forms please visit www.svtoa-semi.com .
If you have any questions please feel free to post them here or email me at mwilson7@comcast.net
Remember - The more people that attend these events means we can have more events going forward.
See you there!

We are starting to receive applications and are about 25% full right now.
Thanks for your support.
I'd like to see if we can get enough attendance at this years events to add an event further west next year.

Has anyone camped at Gingerman. The hotel prices are getting pretty high.
Does anyone know if there is a fee for camping, how much room is available and if there are showers etc. I might just have to live in my car. :bash:

The fee last year for camping was $5 either per night or for the weekend. Showers are on site and are clean and hot.
There are quite a few people staying at the track so you'll be in good company!!

Yes I didn't have time to get my wilwood brakes up front on and I really regretted picking some sleep over finding another stainless steal line that I broke.
I did 2 track 20 minutes stints and while the pirelli's were holding up well the brake pads just disinitgrated. I left by 3 on saturday just because I wanted to get back and get some new pads on because their was just nothing left with the stock brake setup. Backs were looking ok.
Second time out I forgot to change my shoes from my race shoes to the sandles as I was wearing and ended up ticking off one of the racers behind me because the brake light was on all the time.
Got some good testing with the new R2K skin I brought over. It wasn't the 3 layer unit I was trying to get done in time but this one was 2 layers and holding up very well.
Many of us 03 cobra owners were ripping through the track and of course HP wasn't our main issues as compaired to say breaking.
In my first track run in the "Blue" group I used up half a tank of gas in no time flat. Refilled at 3.00 a gallon.. 41.00 for 93
Lunch was real great as well and a good oppertunity to speak with many people. Food was great but the cookies sucked and I'm a real cookie person so I was relativity distraught.
