i have a 99 cobra convertible and also have a burning oil question. When i start it up it will smoke for a few seconds and when ever i step on it,it smokes.I took it to my local ford dealership and he told me he'd have to do an oil system check on it.That means he has to change the oil and mark the dipstick and then every time i get 300 miles on my car i have to bring it in so they can check the oil level and document it.Since i live in wisconsin i dont drive the car year around. So that means that in the spring i would have to go through all that, and since i only drive my car about 3500 miles per year it will take me almost all of 2003 to determine why my car is burning so much oil.I've had to put 5 quarts of oil in it and i only put 3500 miles on the car.Anyone have any suggestions as to why i have this problem??Anyone know of someone i can talk to personally about this that could help me out?
