If you do more road racing trhan 1/4 runs go s/c. I have debated getting a 50 wer shot of nos for mine for 1/4 runs only its pointlees and too quick of a burst to try and use going around corners or heading up to one. If you have never been in a nitrous feed car you would never wanna use it anywhere but the 1/4.

thats what im saying i just want the burst for the 1/4 not when i road race i will use all motor when i race i just want it for the 1/4 but i also like the constant power from a sc

Since you do both I would just but the s/c a seafre alternative in my opion. Youll have better luck with a warranty fix form a s/c than an nitrous one. Id do s/c because you do both this way you will see the 1/4 #;s drop and the on track times drop.

hmmmmmmmm but the vcn-2000 is all comp controlled so there would never really be any motor harm caus eit shuts down before it can damage the motor thats why i like the venom

NOS is one of 2 things...

1: done properly by professionals who have been in the NOS car racing class for years and years...

2: Poor mans power who want BIG POWER RIGHT NOW FOR LITTLE COST! <--- this is the class most people fall into.

Your playing with serious detination issues when working with NOS, yes there are several kits that do most of the work for you but still it's an unstable mod for a car.

IMO: Don't blow up your engine with the NOS, get the Jackson S/C... Yes Jackson not Vortec... As the Jackson one was tuned better for the car and you not as likely to break the car with it...

I would have to agree on the NOS thing, it's awful hard on a stock engine with stock pistons and what not, whether its computer controlled or not. It's kinda like throwing gasoline on a camp fire, eventually something is gonna catch on fire that shouldn't. Just my opinion. I hear nothing but good things from the JRSC, that is until people modify the boost :P

Piggy backing on jb10fan's JRSC positive...

I've heard a bunch of bad on the Vortec... IE: it's overpowered for the car and ends up trashing the engine. The injectors can't spray enough fuel with the controller that comes with it, and the stock MAF is maxed at 5800 RPM's... So between 5800 and 7300RPM's the car is guessing and note tuned correctly.... Resulting in detonation. <--- same outcome as the NOS set up...

I don't think there is a production turbo available for the SVTF... I do know there are ones for the regular focus... Not helpful to us though...
