The dealers here in Alaska, are thief's when it comes to parts...

I'd like to replace the shifter knob with the stock one for our cars... Mine looks like po op! The black part inside the numbers is coming out and the passenger side of the knob, looks like the thing is flaking paint off...

I posted pictures in another post but never heard anything about where I can get a stock one for a good price... As in $20-30... Is this possible? I know cheap ones (aftermarket) go for 10-20 and top end ones for 50-100...

Any idea if there is a dealer who can offer this?

Get one from the dealer and it'll cost you $108 (I believe it was $108) but you can get one off ebay for around $20-$30 if you watch close enough.

for $108 I'd sit down with my friend Patience and repaint the thing.

my dealer said they would look at it...

If they won't do anything I decided to "polish it" with a dremmel just to see how it would come out!

Never know might look better!

The dealer is covering it under warrenty... The number 4 is almost all pealed off and the right side of the knob is all speckled looking.

If they cover your shift knob, I wonder if they will cover my seat.

I'd think so... you were the one with the seat that looks like it was cut when you got it... But didn't notice for a little bit...

Yeah, only I did it. If they don't cover it, then they don't cover it. I don't really expect them to. It's not cut, just roughly rubbed a few times.
Good to hear about the shift knob. I was pleasantly surprised.

oh yeah... Your is where the part right by the door is all torn up... I'd have it check out... They might cover it, thats excessive wear on the leather in my opinion...

Might be able to claim it under door quality parts.
