How is your svt focus running, cause mine is running like ****

My svt focus is running like ****. It knocks and it squeals. It doesnt run the same way as when i first got it. it now has 13,000 miles on it. It also has an oil leak that i cant fix. I have a 93 cobra and i expected the same quality from my focus, but its starting to seem not that way. Please write back if your starting to see some of the same problems. :mad:

I think taking it to the dealer is what you need to do...hopefully you haven't made any mods to it...even though I only have 1000 miles on mine, from what I've been hearing on this site, the extended warranty is sounding better and better to me.

warranty time indeed... the leak could be from the varaible valve timing solenoid, had mine leak and replaced before 6 k miles.

The VVT feature is new to Ford and as I recall can vary the valve timing over a delta of 40 degrees!

Anyhow if it starts acting up I could see the engine running poorly as a result.

Go to a dealership and get it checked repair should be no charge and a rental car should be furnished to you....

What gas are you putting in it? Could it also be bad batch(es) of gasoline?

Definitely warranty job. Go back asap!
