I enjoyed my first SVTOA meeting today [Mar. 13,04]. It was great to meet you guys and girl. Also nice to see a couple familiar faces. I am looking forward to attending some of the coming events.
For those of you who don't yet know, Hank [HJ16] has organized a dragstrip track weekend at US 41 in Morocco, Indiana for May 28 and 29 [Fri. and Sat.] He already has around 50 SVT vehicles signed up for the MSC [Midwest SVT Challenge]. Some quick cars will be running [He's trying to get some of the 9 and 10 second Cobras from around the country to come]. There will be racing as well as test and tune if you don't want to race. There will also be a dyno day at High Speed Performance in Chicago Ridge next Sat. [Mar. 20]. So far about a dozen cars have signed up. I think it is $70 for 2 pulls or $85 for three. Finally, John Patterson is an '03 SVT Cobra owner who held several meetings last year. Mainly '03s but anyone with an interest is welcome. I believe he is planning a meeting for Mar. 27 at Bill's Drywall in Mokena. I don't have details, yet, but I will post them when I get them. Meetings usually include coffee and doughnuts, conversation, sometimes tech and install displays, dyno days, etc. Informal and fun.
Well, that's enough for a first post. I have a habit of writing novels...;)
