Okay, I have 02 w/ 11,7XX miles. No problems to speak of. Paid $16,280. Payments are $360 mth. Had for about 9mths. Dealer calls and has 03 exact same car as 02 except w/ HID's for $14,999. Could step into 03 but payments would go up to $460. They say 02 is only worth about $10,700. Didn't take em' up on the offer. Wise choice?

my 2 cents - you did the right thing - nothing.

Save up for an HID kit if you really want one. At $100 a month it won't take that long.

Also, insurance usually goes up when you resign with a newer model.

I WOULD HAVE SAID NO... way to much of a loss. Basically your taking the $16280 you bought it for, which has a ballance of $14000, loosing $4000 then adding it to the $14000 of the price of the car... So you making the loan about $18000 or 19000... I take it your loan is 5 year... So your adding $100 a month and adding an extra year to your payments...

I donno, I think I'd pass... I thought about looking at the new 04 euro edition and see about trading the SVT 02 with 11500miles on it... but as you said I'd get about $10500 for it and I owe to much to roll over... My $333.93 a month at .9% would probably be lost as well making my payments go way up...

Think you made a good choice!

If you really want to trade up, I know of a cherry Sonic Blue 03 with a built motor and a Vortech for a little more than that one you were looking at!

stick with your car. you have a car with no problems and you want to get into something that may or may not have problems.
