Considering having a sunroof installed in my 98 Cobra....any thoughts? Does it effect performance, stability, or any information appreciated!

I had one put on my 85 G.T. Then one put on my 89 G.T. Loved both but they did leak after 2 years. They fixed it under the lifetime warranty. And they leaked again, but I sold the car then. They would have fixed it as long as I owned the car. Now I found there to be no change in handling. But I did not mod the snot out of her either, just stock (except the exhaust). Just my experience. Would I do it again? Maybe but not on a Cobra that's just me.
The sun roof was really cool.

Personally, I would stay away from anything not OEM designed and installed.

My $.02.

I had a very good experience with mine that was installed by the dealer on my then brand new 93 Cobra by a local third party. It did not leak for my complete nine year ownership and was used all the time with enjoyment. The motor went out in 98 and was replaced under a lifetime waranty. With that said, if I had the decision to add it after delivery from the dealership, not too sure I could have it done as friends have had leaks too often for my comfort. Just my two cents.

Well...thanks folks. I did have it installed and it looks great, works great, and only time will tell if it will leak. I do keep her in the temp controlled garage...so maybe that will protect it. I just had to open her up a little and let some sun shine in!
